Why can't I post?

Very long time since last post. I have huge problems posting in this forum (unwanted log outs and text will not show as it should)
But lets try:

Some new parts

Removed the spoiler, no bad rust

A hole in the drivers side

Some rust on the trunk lid edge

New rear brake drums with wet paint

Fiberglass filler surprises busted

Real retro wooden ball seat cover (I have 2)

Yesterday I dropped few parts (rear axle + mounts, timing belt cover, rear drum brake faces and windshield viper arms) to a company that does sandblasting, powder coating and all kinds of platings. Today I picked them up. The suspension parts have epoxy primer under the powder coating.

Then a bit of assembling just to get the brake tubes bent correctly.

Wonder if I can find this kind of clips from VW-part dealer?

You can get some clips that fulfill the same task, but look different. Actually the new ones are improved; they are easier to attach and look somewhat more durable. Oh, and they are dark.

the clips for the brake lines are still available, they are also used at the Mk.II Golf and various other VWs, my dealer had them in stock. Nice to see another rear beam powder coated; i hope you have replaced the bushes ?

Looks like I've been really lazy adding pics so lets try some, these are mostly from last winter.

New shocks and polyurethane bushings, my friend made me smaller center sleeves from stainless

Some parts

Test original shock + Golf 3 spring & TA-Technixx + cut Golf3 spring

Front suspension stripped and redone

For brakes, I have EBC Green Stuff pads ready.

Hopefully you enjoy.

Still lot to be done.

Is there a repair kit available for the gearshift linkage? It seems there is some free play and the using the gear lever feels a bit loose.
